Hello,
Could someone explain the process of dithering when you bounce to disk? Thanks!

Re: Dithering
HI,
if you dither from 24 to 16bit after bounce or do it manually it´s the same. here´s an article about the topic from Bob Katz: http://www.digido.com/modules.php?na...article&sid=14 find out more here: http://www.theprojectstudiohandbook.com/directory.htm besides the technical explanations, these sources tell you: - if dither is good for you depends on the audio material. e.g. audio with very low or silent audio levels. - only dither when from going from high to low bit levels 24->16 etc. - dithering is the very last step before going into duplication. regs
