Colours on soft keys
Hi
I am having difficulties with getting the same strong colours on the softkeys I make, compared to the ones made by euphonix. Even if I copy the colour completely it looks different. And there is a dark blue background colour, can I get rid of that ? Can someone help ? Hans Henrik Euphonix MC Control |

Re: Colours on soft keys
Okay I found out that if I change a command on a softkey the colour become clear and strong until I choose the command in the last row in the Soft Key Command Editor. After chosen the command in the last row the colour becomes dull again.
Can anyone confirm if this is a bug only for Cubase only or it is EuControl bug ? Hans Henrik |

Re: Colours on soft keys
Hello,
I'm in the same situation : as soon as I choose a Eucon function, the color of the softkey is "dimed". I'm affraid it's a Steinberg Eucon Adapter bug as the colors are OK with other functions or apps. See this thread : http://www.steinberg.net/forum/viewt...?f=184&t=35627 |

Re: Colours on soft keys
Hi guys,
EUCON commands can either be "On", "Off" or "One Shot". Depending on the command you are using, the colours brightness can be different. For example, with Transport EUCON commands, the Play button will be dim until the DAW is in Play. At that point your Play command will be bright as that function is now On. When you Stop, Play is no longer active and will be Off and the button will dim. This brightness allows you to get feedback from the surface without looking at the screen because you will see what is on or off depending on the colour of the button. Key Command buttons will always be bright because it doesn't know if the command sent is for On or Off. Hope that helps. |

Re: Colours on soft keys
Thank you for the answer, but actually, the sofkeys, except a few ones, are always "dark" (off)...
It's OK for the transport commands, but all other commands leads to a "oof" state color. If I choose the same command via a keyboard shortcut, the color is bright again. Is there a way to edit the state of the command (on, off, one shot) in the XML file ? Last edited by Voyageur; 04-25-2013 at 11:27 AM. Reason: completed |

Re: Colours on soft keys
The ON/OFF state is set by the EUCON command and is generated by the DAW adapter.
Key commands always default to bright (ON) state. There is no way to edit this in the XML files. Sorry. |

Re: Colours on soft keys
At mine machine all Key commands by default dark.
The only softkeys that is bright, is the type "Page : jump to page" to navigate on the touchscreen all other are dark. I use Cubase 7 and the newest Eucon Control. |
