Default Grouping a Midi track W an Audio/Aux track- only solo works...

Hi - I am trying to group a midi track with an audio or aux track and only the solo function works in this kind of group.

2 Midi tracks in a group do share all attributes, as 2 auxes or aux+audio or 2 audio tracks.

But when i mix a midi track with an audio or aux track, the fader and the Mute do not link.

Any thoughts or ideas? There is absolutely no mention about that anywhere in the manual or on an online discussion that i could find...?

Anyone..?

There is nothing on this because it wouldn't make any sense to do that. The question is why would you even want to do that?

Did you set up the attributes that you want to group in the Group dialog box?

I wont get into fine detail, but what i am trying to do is control my SSL Sigma summing mixer's MDAC Gains (which requires midi faders), and at the same time, from the same channel, control the mute and solo of the AUDIO that streams into the Mixer.

The only way to have a Midi channel that also controls the audio stream is to group together a midi channel(for fader control of Sigma) with an Aux channel that streams out the audio stem(For MUTE/SOLO/PAN control). So when i hit mute or solo on my midi channel, the mute and solo on the grouped aux is activated.

Capeesh?

So you're running a control surface and the Sigma right? That's what it sounds like. And if that is the case you don't have to worry about having tracks in the same group. You shouldn't have to mute both the MIDI and audio for the same stream at the same time.

Not sure why you say that... can you explain?

Just to clarify- the Sigma takes remore control only over its channel gains(via Midi/HUI/MCU) and over its monitor section via midi CC.

Any type of remote control over its mutes/solos/pan has to be done through the computer browser since its connected through network. Its quite stupid but thats that.

So in order to emulate a behavior of a normal console channel(mute/solo in addition to fader), i need to actually have the mute and solo take place in the DAW stage.

So,again, i need a combination of a Midi fader for the Volume control and an output Aux in order to control the Mute and solo.

What I was trying to get across from the way you wrote things was you wanted to mute/solo both the MIDI and audio tracks at the same time and I wrote that there's no need to do that. But what you're doing doesn't require grouping anything. Just use the MIDI track to mute tracks.
