10.4.10, yes I know, discussed already at length but....
can we at least hear from word from digi saying IF they actually have any intention of officially supporting 10.4.10
isn't the general consensus that AS LONG AS YOU USE THE COMBO installer that everything has been working just fine for everyone? I was not thrilled that digi never officially supported the last update of 10.3.9. I feel like they should at least support up to the latest update of an OS really wanting to install 10.4.10 over here so I can update to some apple iApps that require it and though I have always been in the boat of, NEVER install an update that digi doesn't approve of, I have been watching this forum like a hawk forever on this subject, and basically seem to find that as long as people use the combo updater for 10.4.10, that everything has beeen honky-dory can I get an amen?? digi chime in on whether you actually plan to ever give the green light on 10.4.10 and 7.3.1?? thanks, as a duc'er, I know it's annoying to see something repeated, but still, I had to ask these questions because I feel like I should just make the jump already if it hasn't caused even minor problems for 99% of PT users

I wouldn't bet on they ever supporting 10.4.10, they'll support Leopard. And I agree with you that they should make a habit of supporting every OSX release.
I'm not sure that you'll get an "amen"... But it worked for me. I'd say if you're not in the middle of something and do your backups properly, then worst case scenario is that you will get a day wasted because you'll have to downgrade. |

The combo installer is the full update which you have to manually download from the Apple Website. It differs from the Software Update installer to varying degrees, depending on the update.

Re: 10.4.10, yes I know, discussed already at length but....
bought a new mac pro a month ago that came with 10.4.10. Got a 003 with 7.3.
could load the combo update. I"m assuming that is because i had the latest version and it wasn't required. Everything appears to be working fine. I've been working for 2 weeks and while i've run into some issues i think that most of that is me being unfamiliar with PT 7 and OSX. I'd been using PT 5 and OS9 the last 5 years. I find it disturbing that 10.4.10 might never be approved. If this is to be the case than it would be nice for Digi to put that on their site and this one. However, they did weigh in at one point and say that my system should work perfectly fine and so far it has.
