Default Random CPU MAXOUT

Hey I started a session a couple of days ago, it consists of about 6 massive instrument tracks, 2 refx Nexus instrument tracks, 10 audio tracks. pretty standard and i have done nothing different. After about 5 minutes of running the session the CPU usage maxes out to 100 percent and the whole session freezes up. I have recently updated my Tools to version 10.2.0.140, and am running OSX version 10.6.8.

I have opened up some old session and played around with them and the problem doesnt occur. I have also tried creating a new session and importing all the tracks into it but then it just freezes up again. completely lost.. and have spent all day trying to fix it when i should have been working on this track.

dont know if anyone else has experienced similar problems since updating?
any help would be great. thanks

...
also i have just realised that if i make all tracks inactive then reactivate them, this solves the problem momentarily, but then it returns shortly after..

I have PT 10 on Mac Pro (OS X Lion), and yesterday had the same problem occur. However, the error kept coming back with other sessions, after re-boot, after restarting interface (M-Audio ProFire 2626). Don't know why... Can someone help us?

Check your hardware buffer.

Hey guys...

Are u using any plugins? Are you connected to the internet and have any Bluetooth enabled?

Have either of you tried trashing your preferences?.... Then opening the sessions and see if this issue remains....

Still the bane of native systems. One day it runs like a maxed out HDX rig on steroids, the next day it runs like an ATARI 1040ST on it's last legs. Thankfully my mini with Lion server has been solid, but it does have those moments….

I think i haved discovered the root of the problem.. its SansAmp PSA-1. for some reason, once i make all SansAmp plugin inserts inactive everything runs great, even on old sessions. I have tried to download the SansAmp plugin but could only find a version for pt 8 which crashed during the install process.

anyone know how i can reinstall my SansAmp PSA-1 plugin, with compatibility with PT10.

thanks

Sans Amp has always been an extremely CPU hungry plug-in. How many are you using in a session?
