Default How can I customize key commands in PT9 ?

Hi forum. I am a new ProTools user. I've been using Logic mostly but since I got a job in a studio I have to learn ProTools as well.
I have ProTools 9 HD in a studio I work for.
Now first thing I would love to know is how can I make my custom ProTools shortcuts ? In Logic it is very easy but I'm clueless on how to do that in a ProTools. I want to make my Logic key commands to work in the same way in PT. For example CTRL+left or right is zooming in/out in a horizontal way in Logic, CTRL+R is Record Enable Track in Logic....how to make this happen in ProTools with the very same key commands ?

Thanks in advance.

What are Quickeys ?And why EVERYTHING in ProTools needs to be zillion times harder to achieve than in other DAWs. I really don't understand this. I found a way to customize keyboard shortcuts on a Logic, Cubase and many others in a minutes. How ProTools can be industry standard I really don't understand.

Quickeys is an application you can create shortcuts and macros with.
PT doesn't have the option to freely configure key commands. They are what they are, period.

I have exactly the same feeling when sitting in front of Logic (which doesn't deserve its name in my opinion).

All has pros and cons. For me, the fixed shortcuts are one of the pros because I can work with every PT system in the world using the shortcuts I know...

I do wish though, that they had an alternative laptop setting for when you're working on a laptop with no dedicated number pad.

Exactly my thoughts. The more stuff you having hanging off or sitting around your laptop, the more it chips away at the advantages of using a laptop.
