If I open a CD in Windows Explorer, I can drag and drop a track without issue.

I have one somewhere...but then I have to find a USB-C to USB-A dongle adapter, which last time I tried, it didn't seem to work. It's like Apple really doesn't want me to use CDs or DVD's.

I can try dragging from explorer, but I have a sneaking suspicion that it’s going to once again look for that damaged .exe file. So for now I’ll use Roxio.

Try downloading a new installer to see if that has the uncorrupted file.

Default 2021.7 stuff that still doesn’t work
Still can’t import audio off of a CD (glad I have Roxio, but this worked in Pro Tools up until 2021.5) and my screen still freezes every 10 seconds.
Win10 20H2 build, Gigabyte x99 Designar, i7, 32gb ram, Nvidia Quadro M2000.

Yeah, I use Wavelab to rip files from CD's.
