Default Limiter

I have applied a Maxim Limiter on my submix track feeding into my masterfader. Upon doing research, I found that having the limiter plug in with a ceiling between -.3db & -.5db is appropriate. While the threshold is good to have -2db or -3db. However, I my track does not sound loud enough compared to other songs I have heard and I do not believe it is loud enough for soundcloud, youtube, etc. Any points on what the settings should be?

Stop slamming levels, get some good dynamic range, and it will all fall into place.

I mix a lot for VOD (You tube, Network downloadable episodes etc)
I mix at ITU BS.1770-3 specs. no problem with loudness.

While I don't recommend slaming levels, the mastering limiter from Massey is a great tool.

The Massey limiter is miles above any other limiter I have used. Now if he would only hurry up with the Windows AAX port......

I see what you are saying, but can there be some more specifics to the settings of the Maxim Limiter specifically?

No, you need to lower the threshold until it's loud enough for you
