Default Tracks Not Muted During Recording

Hello all,
I've been recording some drum tracks on pro tools 8 LE, and I like to have them muted in my headphones when recording to better hear the click and whatnot. However, recently, when I press mute on the tracks before I record, I can still hear them in my headphones and out my monitors even though the tracks are supposedly muted. I can't figure out a way to remedy this and turned here for help. Thanks.

Switch auto input monitor/input only monitor, and/or simply bring the faders down to zero.
In the prefs there is an option to unlink play and record faders, so this way, when you record, your faders will be down, but when you play it back, the faders can be up.

If you use Pre-fade aux sends to feed headphones, you have discovered an annoying feature flaw. Muting the track does not mute the Pre-fade sends(It should, and does on any pro mixing console). I have hit Digi with a feature request to change this(please feel free to ask again as the more that ask, the sooner it might happen). Meanwhile, the only easy solution is to use Post-fade sends.
