VIA KT133A compatible?
Hello
The compatibility document on this site warns about possible incompatibility with PT FREE and VIA-chipsets. I'm about to purchase a PC with the Abit KT7A-100 Raid -motherboard (it has a VIA KT133A -chipset). CPU will be a 1000MHz Thunderbird, newer fast FSB model. Has anyone tried PT FREE with this motherboard/processor -combination? Any luck? Thanks TK |

Re: VIA KT133A compatible?
don't do it..... i just built a new system that has an intel chipset and a pentium 3 and pt free runs way smoother on that than it ever did on my via/amd. my advice, stay away from via/amd. believe me i have seen the light...

Re: VIA KT133A compatible?
i have the exact mobo/proc you are talking about, with 2 IBM 30 GB drives in RAID and all works fine with PTF. not sure what the big problem is, but its all good so far.
