Default Alternate use for AD converter: Using pro tools hardware as an EEG machine

so if you are reading this, you probably think i'm crazy. I am an actively recording musician that is working on my doctorate in music performance. I am pursuing a line of questioning about using Electroencephalography to train musicians to deal with performance anxiety. I am doing preliminary research, and would like to run some experiments myself. The question arose on whether a protools rack system can be used to record the electric wave patterns in a subject's scalp.

to simplify this a bit, you place two electrodes near each other on the scalp, and you measure changes in the electric charge of that circuit. The voltage rarely exceeds 1 volt, and the frequencies are from 1-20Hz, basically just under the cutoff of the equipment. for recording purposes, one input can be used as a microphone, and the other 3 amplified inputs could record the signal in great resolution, if the converter identifies it.

Some neurologists call the study of EEG readouts "like learning how a car works by sticking your ear on the hood" but I think it might be useful.

These wave patterns are not supposed to be reproduced sonically

so is the 20Hz a brick wall a hard limit, or can any of you EE majors explain a simple way to have an oscillator at a set frequency (around 2,000 Hz) change it's amplitude to correlate with the 3Hz and .5v signal in the other circuit?

i quickly scanned the post

#1, i think you are crazy

#2, you state 1-20hz. i dont know of any converters that will translate that low. the cutoff point of the converter is going to be long before 1hz.
