A: No. Pro Tools Express was designed to work exclusively with Mbox (3rd Gen) and Mbox Mini (3rd Gen) only. It does not work with other Avid interfaces, and cannot be used with third-party interfaces through Core Audio or ASIO."
That still doesn't answer his static problem that he gets with the mbox mini. Which is why we do need a sandra report.

Nice! alright problem solved :) just did a little digging and found out that it can be solved by using a USB hub .So I went out to buy one tonight 30 bucks at best buy no one knows how or why it works but I'm happy I solved it it was driving me nuts.Anyways I hope this thread helps others in the future. This forum btw really did help me I would still be messing with the mobile pre right now.
One last question tho guys I'm sure you know the answer too

I get the feeling that with some of my plug ins or when I go to import audio for drum loops I get some slight static or popping is that common. and if so is there any plug in that stops/inhibits random pops and clicks?
Thanks for your answers ahead of time guys :)

Whoops that was a typo - should have said clock of ur interface - the system clocking of ur interface can produce clicks and pops

No less than five times from typing this did it try to change the word clock to click (iPhone)
