C24/1622 Interface

I've been using Digidesign products since the days of Session 8 and now have two 24mix set ups.In December 2001 I purchased a Control 24 from Raper and Wayman(London).This had to be replaced due to the paint peeling problem and Digidesign did make this excercise as painless as possible. However,with the purchase of the C24,I was supposed to receive a free 1622 interface. Now,after nearly five months this has still not arrived.I have spoken to R&W about this and they say that these units are difficult to get hold of at present.I have also contacted Digidesigns'product info and sales departments by E-mail and had no reply. Had this to be my only interface, I would have been sitting on a completely unusable C24 plus the 24mix system, which was purchased at the same time.Has anyone else had similiar problems?

Sorry, not to offer any help but I was just about to buy a C24 second hand which is about 6 months old. Was this paint problem universal across all C24s sold around that time? Maybe tech support can answer this one.

My complaint was not about the C24, but about having not received the free 1622 with it,after FIVE months,Digi?

I don't know if it will help, but I took advantage of the same promotion and walked away with the 1622 in hand from my dealer the same day I brought home the C24.

I thought this promotion (1622) was handled by the dealer at time of purchase and not by digi after the fact (like the plugin bundles, which I recieved also upon registering the mix3)

Every digi registration card I've posted in to them in the states (from here in the uk) has failed to make it. I've had to call them up and fax receipts. This has then enabled me to receive mix packs and PT updates in days, which were due to me, but which I hadn't heard anything of in months.
Are you sure they have your C24 registered?
