I really wish Apple would give us a workaround besides having to turn the SIP off.

Hi !
Don't no if you've been thinking about this, but it worked very well for me :

MacBook Pro 2012 OSMojave Avid S3 with eucontrol

Preferences system
Eucon Preferences : check : Enable as external workstation

Of course Audio and midi configuration : check S3 in Network Device Browser

restart computer.

I let my computer on at night, and sometime, I have to restart the computer when it's not working...

Hope I've been helpful, if not, forgive me for the post...

This is the workaround that I’ve been looking for. Now I have my SIP, and my S3 working almost as it should. I do have a separate problem of the “user” button not working to ‘save’

Hey All

There is a fix and it's not too terrible. Essentially what is happening is that the AVB kernel is getting corrupted at some point.

If you reinstall your OS from Recovery mode (just the OS, not the entire computer), it will fix the Kernel and you can turn SIP back on.

Of course if you do not mind SIP being off, you are good to go as well.

Thanks Mark, been doing many things, mainly trying to get everything to run on Big Sur. I've just decided that what works, I keep, and the apps that don't, trash!
One thing more, can you help me with my 'user' button not working? Is it some setting that I've inadvertently turned off? I'm at a loss. Any help will be super appreciated

Hi Tsugi-San, It's been a while. Thanks for the Lux tip, I got mine and it's great an angling the S3 so we can see the Oleds. Now the thing I need to ask, is there a workaround for the S3 audio on a MacStudio running Ventura? I have pretty much everything working, except the Audio I/O..... I've tried disabling SIP, but it didn't work for me. Perhaps it has changed in Ventura? Any solution will be greatly appreciated.

Apple breaks AVB all the time between versions. Nothing anyone can do about it (but Apple)

Yeah it would be cool if we can figure out what to do about it. Now that all new Apple products will come with silicon and Ventura, does it turn a $5,000 controller into a kind of useless piece of hardware? We can get a regular controller for much cheaper! I truly hope someone can figure it out. I’m not smart enough.
