MCU Mode & SSL SIGMA v2.00
SSL released their v2.00 software for their SIGMA Summing Mixer
this version supports the Sigma Delta Plugin, as well as direct connection via Mackie control, without the use of a DAW. The Sigma interfaces via IPMidi. In the previous version, life was easy, you added 2 mackie control instances in Cubase and assigned them to the same IPmidi ports as the Sigma (ipmidi 1&2) Then the first 16 channels in Cubase would control the Sigma on top of standard EUCON support in Cubase. Now in V2 ANY MCU compatible controller should be able to interface directly I've added the new SIGMA remote app to EUcontrol and selected Mackie as protocol and port 1-4 (can select any but port 5-8 and higher) never pop up in client apps. ) When I start and focus the SIGMA control app, I can see it as active app on my transport display, but the faders don't work. I've tried to map euphonix midi 1 to IPMidi 1 and 2 to 2, via MidiOX, but thst doesn't work either. How am I supposed to configure this, as I assume the Artist is as god as any MCU compatible controller. Just to be clear, MCU works fine with Cubase as "middle man" or for apps like RME TotalMixFX. Any suggestions? Or SIGMA users that got this to work? |
