Default Post fader inserts.

Since avid seems to be moving in motion slowly, I have a HUGE request for post insert faders.

As I bounce between PT and 32c, the latter gives me that function. How I use is, I place set my faders at unity and set my summing unit of choice to match 0db. So as I crank up the fader it drives into my summer or plug-in color of choice.

Gives me that console drive.

I’ll repeat it again. Since AVID is starting too WAKE UP, I have a request that I would love implemented.

What do you mean? Faders on audio tracks are post insert, but we tend to say that inserts are pre-fader. Or do you mean there should be a button that opens a gain control after an insert slot? May be pretty tricky to implement on a control surface, isn't gain control on a plugin enough for you?

Inserts on Master tracks are post fader signal flow. If you want to drive audio into an insert, this is one way to do it.

In the mixer in Mixbus 32c the fader is presented as a channel insert so you can place plugs in front of or behind it in the signal chain. You can also drag the fader insert to a new position. Some find this useful. DP also supports pre and post fader plugs on mixer channels.

Yeah, including SAWStudio - so it's been possible for decades!

Plays havoc with delay compensation and automation though......
