How to use Reason 2.5 with Protool LE and digi001
I just purchased Reason 2.5 and I'm excited to use with my digi001 Protools LE system. My computer runs windows XP and I'm a little confused about how to set up the system. Besides the soundcard that comes with the digi001, my motherboard has a cheap, built in sound card. The only MIDI input I have is on the digi001. I am using a MIDI keyboard as input.
Can anyone offer me some advice. Even better, dose anyone have a procedure for how to set up my system with this configuration. My main point of confusion is how to get reason to recognize the MIDI input from my digi001. Thanks |

Set up the audio in prefrences to come through your ASIO driver.

Is the digidesign soundcard an AISO driver? I didn't see that option when I was setting up Reason in the preferences section.
Thanks, Brian |

Edit > Prefrences > Page > Audio > Audio card driver > ASIO Digidesign driver
Hope that helps.

Install protools
Install reason Initiate the reason plugin from within protools and reason will be opened in ReWire mode. You need ptle 6.1 or higher.

Re: How to use Reason 2.5 with Protool LE and digi001
I'm having the same issue except I'm running Reason 2.0
My problem is the same. Under the midi tab, nothing comes up. It says "no midi input". i've done what people have already posted (running MME refresh) but still no luck. I also can't find Reason as a plug in in Pro Tools to use with rewire. I am running pt 6.4 on an 001. Please help!! |
