I’m even afraid a lot more people post in Facebook groups when they have to say or ask something than going to this site. Left alone avid link.

Though, it would be cool to have a central place for pro tools users to send feedback to the development team. Universal Audio’s LUNA has a built in feedback form in the software since version 1. It won’t get any easier than just through the very app itself to collect user feedback

Agreed. I also prefer to type on a website. Apps are a nuisance for that, and having the app on my computer as well just creates a perpetual simmering of discontent.

So just also make the "Lounges" also accessible on web browsers, through the support portal on Avid's site. Just like the DUC.

I have 2022.4 installed on my PC works great.

I also have it on my Mid 2012 MacPro Dual Xenon 3.46GHz 6-Core. Catalina 10.15.7

The first time I tried to PTStudio it crashed on NI's RC-48 plug and PTS just closed after I clicked on Send to Avid.

Now what?

FWIW the last version installed of PT Standard worked just fine on the Mac.

.
This perpetual simmering of discontent can be easily solved by moving to one of the great new subscription based simmering of discontent plans.

Decided to update my PT to Studio.
Surprised that there is still no change in the CPU and Ram usage.
Both are Still way too high, and Avid should really have been sorted this a long time ago.
After it began to crash a few times, I gave up.
I don't get such crashes with similar sessions in Ableton or Reaper.

My subscription renewal is due in a couple of months.
I've always liked PT and find it rather good to use, but the crashes drive me nuts.
Might end up just using Reaper and/or Ableton due to their better stability.

I own Pro Tools standard perpetual license (now Pro Tools Studio), with an active Annual Upgrade and Support Plan subscription, renewing in August — will that remain $199?

I was very happy when I updated my PT Standard to PT Studio, but then I discovered that the option to display channel names for audioclips is gone.

Does anyone have any information about this? I hope this is a bug, because otherwise I would have to go back to the previous version.

I don't have that issue. channel names are displayed as before.
Do you have View> Clip> Name, selected?

Hey, thanks for checking.
View> Clip> Name ist still available but then Clipnames are displayed (as expected).
What I am missing is View> Clip> Channel Name, which should appear right beneath it. (For displaying individual audio channel names such as Boom1, Lav1...)

I double checked my dialogue session with PT Studio and PT Standard - Channel Names and Channel Name Option are gone.

I’m going to bump this issue since Avid is taking their time responding to my ticket. Anyone having this problem with 2022.4? Thanks.
