My Pro Tools HD Upgrade and Support Plan ends 1/8 - what should I be doing now?
I have a V12HD subscription that ends 1/8/16.
No idea what I should be or not be buying at this point. Will it auto renew? Am I screwed that I didn't renew before Jan 1? Total wtf ?? |

Is it actually the support plan that you are on? It should tell you in your account info. If you are already on the support plan than the December 31st deadline doesn't apply to you. Your next year of support will be $399 rather than $599 provided that you add another year of support before your current year lapses.

Since HD 12 came out in April how did get a V 12 support plan in January of 2015? That seems odd or I am missing something there.

The support plan isn't linked with a version of protools. It simply provides you with a year worth of updates and upgrades from the date you buy it.
People who bought the support plan before PT12 was released would have done so because they were upgrading from Protools versions 9 or 10 to version 11.
