I have Win 8.1 update 1 and PT 9 HD works fine. I think it's 9.06
Windows is x64 version but PT works even though it's only 32 bit. Don't see why it won't run PT9

It could work, I've done it for testing reasons, just keep in mind that PT9 is not approved for Windows 8, so if you run into problems you will be on your own.
Also, be aware that you have the ability to upgrade to Pro Tools 11 for just $199. Act before Dec. 31, 2014 and get extended support/upgrade coverage through March 2016. http://www.avid.com/US/products/pro-...ware#licensing
