audio from video wrong length

Hi,

About every time I import a video and its audio content in PT, the resulting audio track is longer than the video, by several frames. This looks like absolutely non-professional while your client expects a perfectly time-synced video mix. The audio is synced, though, but its length is erratic.

This is even much annoying if you import an audio (only) from a video, as the resulting audio in PT does not match the original video file and you can't see it.

This happens at least since PT 11 and still in PT 12.5

Does any of you experience the same problem ? I've tried to search the DUC as usual, but the terms "audio" "video" and "length" are much to general.

I've had this. PT12.4.
The audio from the imported video always starts 1 fr before the video file. The sync is all fine though.

I have been trying to figure this one out all day.

Re: Bouncing to Quicktime audio and video and the audio ends up being out of sync by 1 frame roughly

If i re-import the out of sync video it plays fine inside Pro Tools.......


I have checked it is out of time with Premiere Pro, VLC, Windows media player.

I'm using 11.3.1 and Windows 7 64 bit.

Anyone know what this could be?? it's really annoying! Thanks
