Unable to open PTLE 7.1 session in PT5 - Mac G4

Hi people, new in the forum, I just purchased an Mbox 2, currently running on Dell Dimension 3100 desktop. I am having a problem, whereby i am not being able to open PTLE 7.1 sessions in PT5.1, i did save the session copy in ver 5 and also enabled the MAC/PC compatible,

I was able to do the same step when i save my session from PT 5 to PTLE 7, and when i open the file on PTLE 7 it works fine, any advice.

Hey Lil G your first problem is using windows If I were you I would get a Mac I know this has nothing to do with you current troubles just trying to take care of you future problems. Anyway I doubt it's possible to open a PT 7.1 Session in PT 5.1 unless the 7.1 Session was saved As a PT 5.1 Session. www.apple.com make life easier!

Hey! Blackthorn, thank you for the advice man.....Currently ya ia am using PC, I was under the impression that PTLE 7.1 would work better on a PC then an Intel MAC, since Mbox 2 PTLE 7.1 is built for Intel chips,but if you do know anyone using a MAC BOOK for the Mbox 2 PTLE 7.1 and works fine, please do let me know, i am more of a mac person then a PC person, so i would like to switch to MAC soon.

This what i did when i took a PT 5.1 session and opened it at PTLE 7.1.

Copy and open the file in PT6.9, then save the file as "SAVE COPY IN", select wav format, then select save as LATEST version, then tick and enable the MAC/PC compatible. thats it. anyway i have not tried to open the PTLE 7.1 in PT6.9, i will give it a try and let you know.
