What are the necessary steps to uninstall pro tools and do a clean install?
What are the necessary steps to uninstall pro tools and do a clean install? It keeps crashing and I am getting error messages. Do I just run the installer, or is there more to it than that? I have noticed that there is something called pt nuke. Is that still used? Is it used for PT10?

Re: What are the necessary steps to uninstall pro tools and do a clean install?
If you have a Windows PC, I would download and use the free Revo Uninstaller program. It will use the program's uninstall feature to unintall but then goes further and roots out left over registry entries and files and allows user option to remove these.
After you get it uninstalled, restart the PC before doing a new install. http://www.revouninstaller.com/revo_..._download.html
