MIDI LoopBack Device: Can they be used within the ProTools environment?

i use the musiclab midi connection center to
use the midi ports on the 001 outside of protools. hope this is helpful.

Can you explain in more detail? Is this a free MIDI LoopBack device? Are you able to tell it to use a Digi MIDI port?

yep
just follow the link and download. fwiw, i use it on my win98se/pt 5.1.1 system...haven't tried it w/ xp/pt 6.x. it's very simple to use.
