Default protools free mac OS X

I was just looking foward to when, if, they release a free version of protools for the OS X. 24bit sample rates and low latency monitoring---> all though the apple sound manager. That would be the total solution for me...since I usually only record a couple audio tracks, I would be willing to pay for a small eight track version of protools for the new OS!!!
Its to bad they waited so long for releasing the mbox...but the usbpre still has some pretty good specs...in comparison of samplerates and dynamics. Anyways...just wanted to state my enthusiam for the future.
Damn, I would acually pay for a Protools LE that would work for my usbpre. The usbpre and the mbox seem to be pretty similar...any body have anything to say for the comparison in specs...106db(usbpre) to 101db(mbox) dynamic range...is there much of a difference between these stats. Alright friends

Is that a big difference in preformance between the usbpre and mbox as in---purchase an MBOX...or the specs speak the truth.

The M-Box is only compatible with Pro Tools LE and the USBPre is only compatible with Pro Tools free. That's a big difference!

Please excuse my ignorance but what is a "usbpre"?

USBPre is nice, but the Micro Box comes with Pro Tools LE for less cash
