AMPLITUBE check update

EMI TG ..check thats the latest version

Prosoniq north pole 2003?

Pultec 7.3 check for update

T-racks EQ 1.2.1 2004 check for update!

sampletank 2 version 1.1d1 ?

You need to go through every plugin and check for updates and compatibility.

My system is solid with 8.0.1

Indeed you do have some very questionable Plug-In Versions, why don´t you look into the crash reporter, chances are not bad that you can see which Thread crashed Pro Tools. I would do that first, and then i would update to the appropiete latest versions of your Plug-Ins.

When You bought Auto-Tune Evo, didn´t you received a Auto Tune V5, version for compatibility reasons? AT4 i would really avoid.
Pro Tools crashes regardless you do use an incompatible Plug-In or not, so the Plug-In folder always need your attention.

Yes Yes Yes

ALL plugins in your plugins folder get loaded into pro tools cache when you start pro tools, they don't have to be inserted in a session to cause conflicts.

I'm having problems with PTHD 8.01 also. I resurrected an existing thread titled w/ the same error msg I'm receiving, but didn't realize it was in the LE section. Thus, I've posted below here also (copied from that post):
__________________________________
Instead of starting a new thread, I figured I would post here as I am experiencing this exact error ("Bus error" in thread MainThread" at address 0x0). This error has ONLY started occurring after updating my Pro Tools HD3 system to Version 8.01.

The error never occurs mid-session. Rather, it occurs when I close a session and try to open a new session (doesn't matter what session...I've tried opening different sessions on different drives). I get the error message and then PT Quits. I have tried all the general troubleshooting tips, updated plugs, etc. - so I can only assume this "may" be a bug w/ PTHD 8.01.

Here are my system specs:

MacPro Quad Core Intel Xeon (3Ghz)
12GB RAM
Mac OSX 10.5.6 (Leopard)
Attached Midi I/O
AD16X and 2 DA16Xs
2 700GB Internal Sata Hard Drives (one un-partitioned system drive; one partitioned drive for recording - three partitions)

So far I have repaired permissions, deleted prefs/databases, removed login items, made sure filevault is off, made recording drives private under "spotlight" and updated plugins (only Soundtoys from V3.1.1 to 3.1.2). I have not uninstalled/reinstalled ProTools or Leopard. When I did install Leopard, it was a fresh install on a fresh drive.

Here is my plug list from Tech Support Utility:

Anyone else having this problem? Any advice DTS? The only work around I've been able to come up with so far is to quit and re-start Pro Tools after closing a session and before opening a new session. Obviously a pain, but all I can do since I have sessions all day.

Thanks in advance.
