ProTools will not burn CDs, so you need to bounce your files to HD first, then you can use iTunes to burn CDs. You can also use Toast but that will cost you..

This stuff is all in the manuals.. Check them out

You need to bounce to disk as 16 bit/44.1K Stereo Interleaved. If you record at 24 bit, use a dither plugin on the master fader(in the last insert slot). The use iTunes, Toast or whatever to burn your audio CD.

when i followed the manual, i ended up with two bounced tracks or whatever. (i don't think I'm using the correct terminology.) i call myself following the instructions but it seems like i only had 'left side'. don't want to inconvienence anyone here. if there is a more detail link or instruction i would appreciate it. I'm not being lazy by not reading manuals but i just didn't get it right the first time. again, thanks a million for your help.

In the Bounce to Disc menu, be sure you choose AIFF or WAV, Stereo Interleaved, 16bit, 44.1kHz for the bounced file. You should be to drop the resulting file directly into iTunes and make a CD from the playlist.

On a side note, I generally set the iTunes preferences to NOT copy or convert the files I drop in. Depending on whether you've ever changed it, often iTunes will import the file as an AAC or MP3 which will cause you to scratch your head in wonder as to why your mixes don't quite sound right once they're on CD.

Yes, always good to have the "File Type" column visible in iTunes to make sure what you are working with..
