Default Xpand!?

Hi, I've purchased a new computer and have installed the 1-month trial version of ProTools Ultimate.

I can't open my previous projects and test the new version because I can't find Xpand2! or Vacuum anywhere for download on Avid's webiste, and there seem to be no other threads on this issue. I emailed Avid tech support a few days ago and have not heard a response.

I've found that can purchase Xpand2! here for $15, which is good to know, but I don't want to purchase anything until I've demoed the new ProTools.

Does anyone know how to install the plugins that were previously bundled with older versions of ProTools?

Thanks in advance

Interesting question. I am actually not sure if you can download any of the other bundled software when you trial PT software. Maybe you can go to airmusictech.com for Xpand trial?

If you want to experience everything bundled with PT maybe one month subscription isn't too expensive? That way you know what you would be paying for.

Thanks for your response, JFreak, it's much appreciated.

I would think that the purpose of a trial period is try something without paying for it, so I'd prefer not to pay to see if it's as good the previous versions.

The monthly subscription of Pro Tools does appear to come with Xpand and the other AIR products that were previously bundled with it. I suppose a free trial from AIR is the way to go. Strange that Avid doesn't have any information about this on their site.

Update: I've downloaded and installed the Xpand trial version, but it's only for AU & VST, apparently for AAX you need the AIR Creative Collection, which does not seem to have a trial offer.

I'm disappointed that I apparently can't open my in-progress sessions to see how they perform on Pro Tools 2019.

Vacuum is included in First AIR Instruments which you can download at the bottom of this page:
https://www.avid.com/plugins/first-a...ndle#Downloads
(You can delete the plug-ins you don't need)

Are you sure Xpand!2 is not included in the Pro Tools | Ultimate Trial?
https://my.avid.com/get/pro-tools-ultimate-trial says:
“Your free trial includes Pro Tools | Ultimate, 110+ plugins …..”

I agree that it is confusing. You should have your instllers centrally in account.avid.com but obviously trials are not there. And when you trial PT you only trial PT software, not the bundled extras that come with it.

Good to know AIR Instruments has its own "plugin page" that provides downloads. I didn't know that...
