Post Computer crash Ilok license issue
About a month ago I had a computer issue / crash. It took me a while to get it back up and running, but I was able to do so and now have a new SSD drive that I was able to clone from the old one, so I lost nothing and all of my software is still there and working. Today when I tried to open PT, it said my subscription expired but it isn't. On my Avid account on the website, it says it is a 2 year Plan that expires 12/11/2021 , but on my Ilok account is says expires 12/11/2020.
I think I may have moved the license to the computer from the actual Ilok dongle a while ago, and the only thing I can think is that the authorization is somehow tied to the old SSD (perhaps by MAC Address) I am using an HP Z420 with Windows 10. Please help. I can't open PT at all now and there is no one to contact at Avid. Thanks |

Few extras to add to the good advice above:
In Windows “Programs & Features”, check your version of “PACE License Support Win64” – if it’s earlier than version 5.3.1.3324, uninstall it Then run the free CCleaner: https://www.ccleaner.com/ccleaner/download Then run the free CCleaner Registry – run 2 or 3 times, or until it finds no more to fix Restart computer Download & install the latest version of iLok License Manager (ILM) from: https://www.ilok.com/#!license-manager Restart computer After locating your license in ILM, move it to your iLok, right-click on your iLok in the LH column and select “Synchronize” Restart computer Launch Pro Tools If your license can’t be found, download & install the free (30-days) Pro Tools Ultimate Trial from: https://my.avid.com/get/pro-tools-ultimate-trial This will allow you to keep working until your issue is fixed
