TDM Plugin not Found, -7 Error Message

Hello gusys, i run Pt 10 on a Windows 64 bit system and since the first day i keep having trouble with PT.

I am working on several project that keep screwing up during the mixing process.

how can i figure out what i need to do? since almost every session i keep having BIG problems...alot of times even a bluecreen.

is there a chance to find out what this is about?

You need to post a Sandra report and give details about ALL the hardware that's connected to your computer. Without that, nobody has a prayer of helping

and here is a error message or better knwon as bluescreen message that appears:

usually i open up a project, in this case it doesnt matter if i open pt 10 and than load the project i am working on or just load the project itself that i named like "song 1".

when pt starts i become the error: -7 ; i click on ok and than it tells me the tdm plugin hasnt been found.
so good so far...
sometimes i can work on this project for like 10 minutes or more but than just without a warning my pc crashes and the blue screen shows up.

even when i am loading the project crash files it happens again and again and again...

i am using a usb (no cable) keyboard and mouse from Logitech.

i have a ilok2 attached

NI maschine is also conencted via usb (front port)

firwire is connected only to my mbox pro there is no more fw (everything is up to date)

i have a onboard dsp card from uad, the solo which is up to date and running just fine

Sorry I can't help. I have no experience with Mbox Pro or UAD cards. That 5900 rpm drive, should NOT be used for sessions. Wifi should be disabled when running Pro Tools(at least until things start working). I would open device manager(with internet connected) and go thru everything updating drives(BSOD can be an outdated driver). The message re. TDM plugin is a head scratcher as you cannot run TDM plugins. Maybe you installed the TDM version of something? If so, uninstall and reinstall, choosing the RTAS version.

The bluescreen may or may not be directly related to your other problems.

I would start with a files system check of every hard drive.

Get an up to date anti-virus software and scan the entire computer. wdf01000.sys (WDF== Windows Driver Framework runtime) is sometimes attacked by malware. Then fully disable/turn off the antivirus software (it should never be running when you are actually using Pro Tools).

Try updating all windows software, especially all drivers for your hardware -- from Microsoft Update and directly from OEMs.

If that does not help with the blue screens try wiping the system and reinstall Windows. Try to add as few third party drivers/software etc. as absolutely needed and see what works.
