SampleTank SE and BFD Plugins Not in Instrument Li
I have an Mbox 2 and ProTools LE 7.0 running on Windows XP Pro SP2. I have the full version of BFD. I used to use the DX and VST versions in another software. I tried to load the RTAS plugin; which seemed to work. However, it did not show up in the Instruments list. I also have the same problem with SampleTank SE.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. Regards, Dave O.

Re: SampleTank SE and BFD Plugins Not in Instrumen
Are you using them on mono or stereo tracks?

Re: SampleTank SE and BFD Plugins Not in Instrumen
Sorry that I wasn't clearer in my post. What happens is the Sampletank SE does not show up in the plugins list. I've since got BFD to show up, but I had to go back to a previous version.
Again, any help is greatly appreciated. Regards, Dave O.

Dondusko
What spkguitar was meaning is that some Virtual Instruments and Plug-ins only work on a mono track or a stereo track. Have you tried uninstalling SampleTank SE and re-installing it, watching out for the destination path. filosofem

Re: SampleTank SE and BFD Plugins Not in Instrumen
Yes, I believe I did. I think it went to .../DAE/Plugins. What files should I see there?

Re: SampleTank SE and BFD Plugins Not in Instrumen
Older versions of ST put it in the wrong place (well, it was the right place for older versions of PT).
It should be in <system drive>:\Program Files\Common Files\Digidesign\DAE\Plug-Ins and should install there by default with newer versions. The system drive part is important; installing Pro Tools to a different drive than the system drive will cause problems. Also, make sure you have the latest version of ST. It's available from the IK website.
