Default Heat will have to be RTAS!!

Hi,

If the second biggest request was for HD users to be able to take their session and work on their laptops then they're gonna have to make heat native surely!!

No - I heard them say HEAT requires TDM still. You can work on your edits and mix anywhere - but the final mix lay down will have to wait until HEAT (or analog summing) is active in the larger studio - not the laptop.

Hi,

Makes no sense to release Heat then announce the beginning of the end for TDM! Nice timing to release heat TDM only just prior to announcing this!! surely they must code it for native now.

Who says this is the end for TDM?

It is only the beginning. With PT9 no chassis are supported anymore, It means there will be a huge single Accel card coming. No need for chassis...
But at least, HEAT SHOULD be included in the PT8HD to PT HD9 update, otherwise we got NOTHING for our bucks.

Firechild
What do you mean no more chassis support? I saw nothing about that. Saying that stuff can cause a panic.

Are you positively saying the Magma PE6R4 is now useless too?

Hmmm, No Chasis Support for 9? I agree about heat, needs to be ported over to native.

I had better not be dumped. I just upgraded to a Magma and my dealer ASSURED me that Avid had told him they would be supporting the chassis for a long time.

Looks to me like the argument goes the other direction: Pro user tempted to dump HD with the release of 9? Sorry, no HEAT for you.
