Problem with Digicore Audio Manager
Ok, I like to solve problems, but this one is too much... Don't know exactly where to post this but have to start somewhere.
Have been running Pro Tools 8 and Cubase 5/6 for a while. Today I had to upgrade to PT9 to work with a project. Installing worked and PT9 ran just fine and I finished the project. But later when running Cubase, all is dead silent. The Digicore Audio manager is started when I select the HD device as asio output. All settings are as they were, but no sound. I have sound in Finder. Trying to rollback to PT8 did nothing! (clean uninstall) Also tried to completely uninstall PT and installing stand alone Digicore manager to no good. So now I'm stuck with a non working Cubase (to the joy of some of you... :)) Gonna do a thorough look tomorrow but hoping to get help from here! Something I missed when upgrading to PT9? Any drivers or something I missed? I'm a fairly new user of PT. My hardware is HD2 with 96i/o and C|24. |

Re: Problem with Digicore Audio Manager
ASIO? On a Mac? Are you running Cubase under Bootcamp or Parallels Desktop or something?

Re: Problem with Digicore Audio Manager
Oops, sorry, typo. Just switched to Mac... I run OSX. Guess I should have said coreaudio.

Re: Problem with Digicore Audio Manager
Ok, think I got it! It seems to be a buffer issue. My projects were set to buffer size 192, which the new the Digicore Audio Manager seems to dislike. Going up to 256 did the trick!

Re: Problem with Digicore Audio Manager
The silence seems to appear when there are different buffer values between Digicore audio manager and the host. Starting the manager and setting buffer before starting Cubase lets me change buffer size. Didn't have to do like this before...
But hey, it works! |
