Disable the Dashboard
Don't really know if Dashboard is causing all sorts of problems for anybody (I'm certainly ok with it), but here's a link I found to disable it, in case you wanna troubleshoot stuff. Interesting.

You can also just un-check or change the key assignment in the keyboard shortcuts pane in the keyboard & mouse preference pane in the system prefs.
That way you don't activate it my hitting F12 by mistake, but you can still run it by selecting dashboard in the dock. I also have changed the exposé commands to include the modifier key of "control" so I don't hit those by mistake while trying to hit the dash/equals/delete keys. -Mark |
