Default Neve Portico 5012, anyone tried one of these?

Hey all,

I've seen a heap of discussion about this newer Neve preamp, but nothing much here. I am nearer to getting another pre for my 002 setup and wondered if anyone has used one of these, or if they know where there might be more, detailed discussion about this pre.

You can view a thread (that deteriorates into a mud slinging fest like all good posts!) at the Gearslutz Forum

You can see more about this pre at Rupert Neve's Portico Line Website

If you have experience with this pre, please post your opinion about it. Many of us would love to ad the "real deal" to our setups, and this "might" be worth investigating further. If at all possible (just so we don't end up like the brawl at the Gearslutz forum) let's try to keep our comments on this particular piece of gear.

(I know, easier said than done!)

Cheers,

~ J

Well, I think I might have to find some room on a plastic rectagle for this ......

Ease up there, sir....Portico just recently started shipping.
Try www.gearslutz.com if you're salivating for reviews.
