Default my timeline ruler disappeared? visual glitch

so I updated to new cs 2 on 8.0.4 things seem to be working better but have not had a chance to test recording etc. so anyways I opened a previos session recorded in 8.0.4 and it has the tempo map displayed with the ruler etc etc for a project that was recorded to a click etc etc. what I noticed is my ruler disappeared when I opened the session. a visual glitch or a setting I am not aware of? I cant visually see my audio in time now. but it has only happened on this session. another thing is when I was closing the session I tried to open a new session not realizing the old one was still closing down and the program crashed. sooo yeah not sure. cant really get a sandra report right now. just curios if anybody has had this problem. pretty much figured that no matter what fix they release there will be issues and problems etc etc. kinda fed up. it is annoying.

yeah it did not seem to be the problem. but let me go back and take another look. not sure if this issue is gonna be there still that's the thing. it is random sometimes with these glitches or problems. I know there could be a lot of factors involved which can be hard to pinpoint the issue. but let me see.
