Default Before I plug in my Eleven question?

Hey OK I took the plunge and bought the Eleven Rack. I allready have PT8 loaded on my iMac with the MBOX2... So is there anything I should do so that I dont have to open the other software package? Im guessing I dont have to use the version that came with Eleven but I obv. need the eleven software..Im just trying to avoid opening the new software...

There's no reason you can't use the PT8 that's already on your computer. It doesn't care what Protools hardware is connected. You just have to make sure it at least has the update that allows you to access the 11R control window/GUI. Also, when you first connect it it may tell you to do a firmware update.

I'm assuming you don't want to open the software in case you want to return the 11R. This would be a good way to do it, since you already have the PT8 from the Mbox.

Yeah thats the basic idea but it looks like my Eleven rack (per my other post) is dead so this post is useless

If you update 8.0 to the latest version (8.0.3) it should have the Eleven Rack Drivers. There are some Eleven specific drivers that need to be installed if your on 8.0.
