Default guru or battery?

I'm hoping to get a soft-drum sampler to take the weight off my mpc, I've tried battery which I really like but am not sure if programming it from the midi editor in tools is for me. I am downloading the guru demo now.

Anyone have any opinions?

I'm looking at guru because it seems to be a bit like a software mpc with the built in sequencer, which is one thing i love about the mpc
