48V switch missing

Installed the latest version of ProTools (2021.10) and updated the firmware in my Carbon. Now I don't seem to be able to turn 48v phantom on, either on the front panel or in the remote control mic pre section.

I've tried restarting the Carbon (full unplug of power) and restarting ProTools. No luck so far. Anyone else tried yet?

What channel, and what's connected to the back panel (inputs)?

48V is only available when a mic cable is connected. Can you confirm you have mic cable(s) connected and the input type is set to MIC?

Great update! We have two carbon now and LOVE them soo much we sold 4 apollo X units and only have one X8p left for unison plugins we paid dearly for

The Carbon SMOKES apollo all day long and many other interface we tried borrowed and stole

It is THE BEST product Avid has done to date and everyone we spoken to who has one says the exact same. They sold off their old interfaces and now quote: playing in the highest league end quote!

I feel your love for the Carbon, been using one for 8 months now! Just wondering what your workflow is with the Apollo. I still have an Apollo8 and a Satalite I use for DSP only. Don’t really see the need for “virtual” mic-pre’s since I actually own 16 real mic-pre’s (most of the ones UAD emulates). But always open for suggestions on how to run otherwise unused gear in my setup

We use the X8P in a midi production room and has no connection to the carbons.

We have about 65+ high end outboards so no need for any UA Preamp emulations anymore but still keep on X8P for LUNA out of curiosity.
