Mbox USB3 issues
Recently purchased a new Mac mini to use with my Mbox2. It seemed to work but would slowly degrade in audio quality (distortion) and then finally gave no sound output.
From doing a little research it seems that the fact that the Mac Mini uses USB3 ports is giving the MBox some issues. I know some companies (NI, Motu) have made official statements that a number of their bus powered audio products will not work properly on USB3. Has Avid made any such claim about it's products? If you're still looking for an answer, some people claim this will work - basically turns USB3 ports into USB2 - http://www.native-instruments.com/fo...76#post1054476 |
