PT 8 and Macbook w/ External LCD TV?
So who here is using an external LCD monitor/TV in their Macbook setup?
If so what is everyone using and how well is it working for you? I want to expand my workspace and I'm thinking a 22 inch will do the job. However I plan on doubling up and I want to use a TV with VGA input. I understand you get a lower resolution with VGA monitors and I have yet to find a TV that has a DVI connection.( that isn't so pricey!) So I could live without the DVI option. I would also plan on using it in expanded desktop mode so I could for example, leave the main Edit or Mix window up on the 22 inch, and leave the macbook display for open plugin windows. Are there any major things I have to watch out for with this kind of setup? FWIW I'm on a 2006 'Blackbook' CD 2.0 with 2 gig RAM, 10.5.7(I'm aware of the external HDMI issue in 10.5.7) Last edited by Skyflash; 06-14-2009 at 06:31 PM. Reason: added system info |
