well, it's $350, not $100 to get those features.. it's $100 EXTRA.

and i guess those things don't excite me because I already have those features in my primary daw. i mean sure i'd love to have them in PT as well, but there are a lot of other things i'd like for $350 :-p

If the LE upgrade price were $350 i doubt i would be participating in this thread even if i felt the upgrade price were kinda high. the only reason im annoyed enough to be posting is cause of the price difference between the two upgrades

Who would be upset if MP users had to pay the same price as LE users? Would LE users be upset that the crossgrade was the same for MP users?

The upgrade for MP and LE from 7 to 8 were both $150. i don't think any LE users were upset about MP users having to pay the same price.

Just to add...
upgrade to version 8 of M-powered = $149.95 (Audiomidi)
Upgrade to version 8 of LE = $149.00 (Sweetwater)

Couldn't find a place that sold both at this point.

The upgrade to version 8 of HD was 249.

So both versions of the software (except HD of course) are the same price which you could infer that they have the same value, HD of course is more expensive as expected.

Why yes, yes you could. But..... the MPTK is 50.00 more than the PT9 upgrade. And you still couldnt use the DVTK2 or CPTK.

Gentleman have a great day. I have other things to do than try to convince you the PT9 upgrade is worth 349.00.

8.04 still works.

No one is forcing you to crossgrade.

Make music!

i don't see why you expressing your opinion is any different than me expressing mine. i'm annoyed that there is a $100 difference between LE and MP. Digi says it make sense, but it doesn't make sense to a lot of people.
It clearly makes sense. You were the kiddo that bought the cheaper interface so that you could use Pro Tools, and now Avid wants your money. I mean, M-Audio is practically the redheaded stepchild of Avid.

Oh I will be upgrading and I have made clear it is worth the $350 ($405 /£250 to us in the UK) dollars but not the price discrepancy with LE, if you don't understand how MP users feel fine, it doesn't affect you either way, there really is some unnecessary antagonizing in this thread, which is not helpful at all.

As this continues to burn me. Who around here paid a dime for Protools software other than M powered?

It's about time you paid. They have been giving it to you for free for the last decade. All most of you have had to pay for are upgrades, and they have been cheap!!!!!

Again MAN UP!!!!!!
