Default How to engage Dverb

Upgraded from Pro Tools 6.9 to Pro tools 10.3.10.
I find the instruction manual confusing as to the use of the plug in DVerb.
Please explain how to trigger the DVerb to the track.

There are multiple ways.

1. (Preferred method) Go to one of the track's Send slots and select "new track..." at the very bottom of the pop-up menu. in the resulting New Track window, set the Format to Stereo, Type: to Aux Input, and change Name: to "D Verb" and click Create. You will now have a new Aux track called D Verb with a bus called D Verb assigned as the input and you will have a new send on the source track. Put the D Verb plugin on an insert of the Aux Track, but this time leave the mix knob at 100%. Play the track while raising the send on the source track and you will hear the reverb. You can now also add a send to other tracks, making sure to route that to the bus you just created, called "D Verb", rather than using "new track...". Multiple tracks call all send to the same Aux track with the D Verb plugin on it.

2. (Simplest method) Put the D Verb plugin on one of the track's inserts, adjust the Mix knob in D Verb to taste, play the track.

3. (Not recommended method) Use it via AudioSuite to create a new audio file with the reverb baked in (not recommended unless that's really what you want to do).

Great info above, and here's the "old fashion" way that you might relate to:
One the track you want to add reverb to; add a send to any open bus. Create a stereo AUX track and set the input to that same bus. Insert Dverb on this new AUX track. Turn up the send(unless you set the default to -0 in Preferences).

Originalscotty's first method does all this much faster

In the "Inserts" menu on the top panel, select the empty insert slot where you want to add the DVerb plug-in. It will usually be called "Insert A" or "Insert B".
