HVEC Exported Video Out of Sync and Jittery.
Hi there
I have an editor that is outputting HEVC MP4’s instead of H264. The audio is always way out of sync and video is jittery. Thoughts? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

lot of thoughts; starting with CPU heavy codec
is it offset, editor probably had a offset/delay in his rig progressive offset, frame rate miss match random, back to video codec being NFG for sound

Either codec is not good for the PT.
Ask him to export DNxHD 36 or ProRes Proxy.

Like the Dr says to the patient when the patient says...
"my arm hurts when I do this..." Dr. - "Don't do that". It's interesting if Pro Tools can't ingest h.265 but it can export h.265. I'll have to experiment.

I think the issue is, the 2 minute clip that was having issues had a much higher bit rate. 470.28 Mbit/s vs 5.28 Mbit/s. The lower bitrate in the same format plays fine. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
