"Could not save "" because while translating Paths." - can't save ptx 2022.12.0

On Pro Tools 2022.12.0 on Windows 10 and got a brand new error I've never seen before.

Was Importing Session Data (no clips, just some auxes) from another ptx created on the same computer with the same version of PT last week into another session and all of a sudden, this error comes up whenever I try to save.



I press control-S every minute religiously and assumed nothing would be lost but turns out doing this DELETED my ptx entirely. I run automatic backups and was able to open one from a few minutes beforehand, thus not losing much at all, but this is pretty bad! Not only a saving issue, but one that erases your entire .ptx file!



Tried to replicate the issue and had no luck.

Take a look in Workspace at all the saved ptx files for the Session in question, including those in the Session File Backups folder. It won't show up in file explorer but in Workspace you will see corrupt session files with "Unknown" under the file "kind" heading instead of "PTX file". These can be removed and/or deleted directly from Workspace.

If anyone out there knows how to "repair" these ptx files I would love to hear about it.
