Will tons of ram improve performance?
I have a G4/400 with 512mb ram. Will getting an extra 512 help performance? If so, what is the optimal amount to assign to PT and DAE? Is it true that too much assigned can actually hinder performance, or is it a case of the more the better?

Re: Will tons of ram improve performance?
I will say that in OS X the answer is a definate yes...not only for indivual applications but for the entire operating system and experience...if you plan on switching to protools 6 and OS X I would say fill it up...which is what I did 1.5 gigs....ram is pretty cheap now anyway..
