Default click on a track, it changes the track size to large, WHY ??

When you click on a track, it changes the track size to large immediately. And also, when you click on the track, it randomly changes from waveform to automation to volume, etc. What preference is this ?? Can I turn this off ??

Thanks. B

Is there to way to just turn that whole thing off and go back to the old way of just pressing E,
and not have to deal with every track I click on changing size, etc?
I've turned it off underneath the Zoom tool, but everytine I hit E on a track, it comes back??

I don't understand what the issue is. Press E to engage, press again to disengage, done. The problem is when people forget to press E to disengage and then act like PT is doing something wrong when you click on another track.

The issue is that Pro Tools adds changes and not everybody wants to RTFM every time they do an update. I do but I'm in the minority. It seems that lately things have been changing and throwing people off. A lot of my functions on my C24 now work backwards for example.
