The mac key command for this is shift, command then 3. Shortcuts can be changed and disabled via preferences should you so wish.

Cheers

Hi,

Check that you are not using a shortcut such as "command-shift-3" when trying to operate somekind of Pro Tools operation.
That shortcut (there are others as well) is a general Mac shortcut for taking a picture of your screen.

Let me know if this helps.

Tommi

Shift "Option" 3 is "Consolidate Audio" - which often "Slips" to "Taking a picture of your desktop"

Also, lots of folks hit "N" in Command focus mode, wile hitting the spacebar, changing "Timeline insertion follows playback" reacting to how your playback cursor selection, acts in pro-tools.

Just for the heck of it, Shift+Command+4 lets you take a shot of a selected area of the screen; you'll get "crosshairs" on the screen; click-hold and drag the crosshairs over the area you want to snap, then let go of the mouse.
