Default Playlists still not able to be included in any group edits?

I havent checked any updated functions in a while. Has Avid included an option to include playlists in edits( without simply dragging selection across all the playlists manually) ?
Im still a bit baffled as to why there is not an option to " include playlists" in the grouping options, or at least an "All Tracks" options that includes playlists.
This is a basic function that i would use EVERYDAY! some people still make records without clicks and dont copy and paste all the parts.

Temporarily move your playlists to individual tracks inside a basic folder track. Do your edits, then move the clips back to their original playlists under the main playlist.

Best workaround.

Or, simply do your edits in playlist view.

If you've got 80 tracks with 30 playlisted takes (e.g. orchestra), good luck. The inability to edit across all playlists is a significant pain point for me. The whole playlist UI is in serious need of a revamp.

Yeah , temporarily moving all playlists to real tracks is not going to work. That would be a serious pain in the ass work around for some sessions.
Has there ever been a reason stated that you cant simply include a “include playlist in track edits” option? You could easily turn that on and off for session wide edits.
Its seems so obvious to include this.

It’s extraordinary that we’ve all put up with this for so long. It would seem like a fairly basic feature. Working on large, layered sessions is a nightmare in PT
