MBox Pro 3 Tuner Issue

I'm having the same problem. I'm using windows and pt 9. I bought this mbox pro 3 so I could use the onboard effects when I'm using the low latency option (which disables the plug ins on the channel you're recording on) to hear some reverb when I'm singing. I've got the mbox mixer up on the screen, all the sends and returns are up full and can hear no effects in the headphones. How can I get the dsp effects into the signal flow? I haven't found one step by step explanation on line. I'm looking for something which i.e. turns on the sends (a bus in the Mbox mixer) but find nothing. Anyone, thanks for your help.

I am having same problem, i've read threads above, double checked all same settings, downloaded latest drivers, etc. Slight bit of hassle to send unit back in and swap, so if anyone finds another solution (or avid person is looking at this thread) any suggestion would help.



btw, I'm running it on a late 2011 Macbook Pro 10.7.4

I have a ticket open and am waiting for some guidance from Avid but so far not much help. I also have the option to return/exchange so I might do that if I don't hear back soon.

Update: I heard back from Avid Support and they indicated that they are investigating and that it may be a driver/firmware issue...

Avid/Digidesign Technical Support:
"...It may be firmware related in which case swapping out the hardware is probably not the best solution. I may be that it needs to be resolved with a firmware/driver update. If this is the case you could get another unit but as soon as you update the driver required to work with Mac OS 10.8.x there is a strong possibility you will have the same issue again. If replacing the Mbox Pro makes sense this is something we can do with you directly. It may be that you will need to wait for an update from us that changes the firmware in order to completely resolve this issue."

I have the latest drivers for mbox pro & I am using pro tools 10.3.2
I cannot get the tuner to work at all... everything else seems perfect...

Fellow DUC member jryser has had that issue as well. It's one out a few problems with the current mbox pro software. Hoping for more fixes...

Indeed this is true for me still. I had an excellent support person who worked with me over several days to try to fix the problem. I wondered if my firmware upload glitched or something. So I still have that lost tuner as the only issue with my Mbox!

Do your dsp effects work? What version of firmware and software are you on?

The absolute latest drivers and firmware. It's a fairly odd issue that does not appear to happen often.
